Welcome to the 18th season of your California Pops Orchestra. I say "your" because you've told us you think of the Pops as your very own orchestra. And that couldn't make us more proud.

It's the reason we're an all-request orchestra. It's the reason we perform "shows" not "concerts". It's the reason we start each show singing and laughing and getting to know each other. And it's the reason you leave each show humming such great music.

And what great music we have this season! The October "Gershwin & Friends" show brings to you from the SF Fairmont pianist Frederick Hodges. Reknown for his unique fun '20s & '30s style. Performing with the Pops your favorites of Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and more

The last Christmas show was completely sold out so order tickets in advance. We'll have all your holiday favorites including guest stars The Bay Bells handbell choir, joining the Pops for toasty, snowcapped magic.

Coming direct from Disneyland are the fantastic Side Street Strutters. Just in time for Valentines Day. Together with the Pops we'll have an energizing show of top arrangements from New Orleans Dixieland, Jazz to Swing.The "Swing! Swing! Swing!" Big Band Show features the Black Tie Jazz Orchestra playing hits from the 30's & 40's. And after making special arrangements we'll finish out the season in high style with music by Henry Mancini! Music from "The Great Race", "Victor/Victoria", even the "Creatures of the Black Lagoon".
