Friends of the Pops

So, where does the California Pops Orchestra get the money to preserve our popular music heritage while providing exciting music and shows at multiple Bay Area locations? To engage the best guest artists? To play free concerts in the bay area parks and schools? To make it possible for adults and children to hear their favorites pieces live for the first time?

72% of the Pop's operating funds come from ticket sales. For the rest, we count upon "Friends of the Pops" donations.

Contributions from Friends enables the Pops to help save and restore popular music, present entertaining, memorable shows at Spangenberg and other local theatres as well as free Concerts in the Park, radio shows and television broadcasts that feature Bay Area musicians and artists.

Contributions are tax deductible.

As a Friend of the Pops, you will be in good company: those who recognize the value of the finest musicians - and the finest pops music!

Plus! Early seating is given to donors of $500 and more. Arrive 45 minutes before the show.
